"There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard... No song I could sing... But I can try for your heart...Our dreams, and they are made out of real things... Like a, shoebox of photographs... With sepiatone loving... Love is the answer, At least for most of the questions in my heart... Like why are we here? And where do we go? And how come it's so hard? It's not always easy and... Sometimes life can be deceiving... I'll tell you one thing its always better when we're together..."

Cupcakes & Zoolights.

So this year, I didn't make any plans with friends to celebrate my bday.  It's always a bit of a challenge with Thanksgiving the Holidays and all.  But my little Addie Jo, wouldn't let me get by with a little bday friend fun!

She had me and Justin over one night for a delicious homemade meal followed by champagne and cupcakes.  I do realize that I look like a total thug in this photo, but that's okay because I'm from Casa Grande and so is Addie and sometimes....well that's how we roll......
Billie, Addie's boxer was there lookin all pitiful and such.  Justin just adores her!
Following dinner, we mixed together a few "roadies" and headed out to the Zoo to check out Zoolights.  Derrick, Addies' boyfriend and room mate met up with us at the zoo (after her got off work) for all the festive fun!
And good times were had..........

Thank you Addie Jo for making me feel so special!  I love ya girlfriend!

And thanks to "Fun Derrick" (that's my nickname for him) and Mr. Justin Starr for being such great dates!

Roomie Holiday Dinner

"Roomie Holiday Dinner"
This is tradition that started many years ago, and one that I've grown to love and appreciate this time so much with my very dear friends (Andrea and Melissa) and former college room mates.  We do see each other a good handful of times throughout the year, but this night is reserved for Roomies Only ~ no spouses, no kiddos, just us and lemme tell ya... we talk, pour of hearts out, counsel each other, and laugh, cry, and leave each year feeling more and more bonded.  Sounds totally corn ball ~ like out of a Lifetime Television for Women movie, but it's so true.  We gabbed so much that we shut the restaurant down and finally got kicked out...only to spend another hour or so talking in Melissa's parked truck.  At the end of the night, we tried making several attempts at taking a photo with my camera phone and this was the best shot we got.
I love you girls so much...Muah!

Kinsys + Starrs

One night during Thanksgiving Weekend we were able to meet up with Michel and Heather and catch up.  I had the amazing opportunity to coordinate their wedding a few years ago....it's crazy how quickly time flies!!!  We had a fab night with many laughs..the highlight of my night was when Michel ( in his rich accent) called us "Yuppies" for taking out dogs to doggie day care.
Good Times, hope to come and visit you two in Boston soon!!!!

Cherished Moments & Delicious Hummus

Nothing better than catching up with an old friend.  You can jump right into intense conversation without holding back, without being polite, or justifying anything, or having to explain the background stories...... it's so emotionally rewarding ~ we need our girlfriends.  One fall night, I shared a meal at Pita Jungle, and a few glasses of wine out on the patio with my dear friend Tiffany... we talked about life, we solved a few problems, and we laughed so loud that we annoyed the table next to us~overall just a great night.

I love you girlfriend!  "Oh yeah, I can totally see that"

Halloween at Tom and Mo's

After getting all dolled up in our "Gwen and Harajuka Girl Get Up"...Aimee and I headed over to Tom and Mo's for a Halloween Bash.
Mo and Tom, the Host and Hostess
Aimee loved this axe photo, she's a freak.  Justin showed up later that night (he was shooting a wedding earlier that evening), and to his MAJOR DISSAPOINTMENT, didn't have to dress up (yes, that was sarcasm)
Shannon even showed up in his "nerd" attire.
Tom's Paul Bunyan's costume was awesome, he was very proud of his REAL beard.
It's always a blast with Aimee.
I know it may not look like it, but yes we were completely sober in these photos, like I said when's Aimee's in town the party never stops!

Stefani Meets Starr Style

One of my top ten moments of 2011 for sure! It's no secret that I'm a huge No Doubt fan and truth be told I have a total girl crush on Gwen.  It's been on on-going crush for years.  She's talented and beautiful and of course ultra cool... but there are many other reasons why I look up to her and her sassy ways....

1.) She's different. Her style is unique to her
2.) Homegirl has millions, but she still keeps it real.  In every interview she come across very confident and still humble ~ I love that.
3.) She went from her high school sweetheart to her husband...dating very few guys in her life... similar to moi.  My heart couldn't have handled having lots of boyfriends.
4.) She focused on launching her career before starting her family.  Though she always wanted to be a mom, she didn't have her first baby until she was 37.  And she still rocked the "hot mom" look. No, I don't plan on waiting that long but it inspires me not to put so much pressure on myself.
5.) She claims to be a poor time manager, and says it's passion that drives her not organization and discipline.  STORY of my LIFE

Okay, I'll stop there before you start thinking I'm a total weirdo.  Needless to say, I love me some Gwen! I've seen her in concert four times now.  The most AMAZING concert of my life thus far, was at America West Arena when No Doubt opened for U2.....it was right after 9/11 and I was there with my girl Addie Jo....it was their Rock Steady Tour and it was BEST!
So I've always wanted to try and sport the Gwen look for Halloween, and with Aimee in town for Halloween this past year...we were CRAZY excited dress up as Gwen and a Harajuka Girl!
Aimee nailed her look, naturally!
And we of course asked Justin to take a million photos of our vain selves......
I had bought three bleach blond wigs... but just couldn't make them work for me.   I looked more like Tom Petty than Gwen Stefani...it was frightening... so in the end I went with my natural hair.... so it was more of an "Inspired Gwen Look".

And this completes..........number 79 on my list!

Our 9th Annual Halloween Party, Caddy Shack Style

Another year, another Halloween Party!
This party was the easiest party I've ever thrown......it was just such a crazy time in our lives...Justin had just started his career and I was spinning in the wedding season mix ...and ...right in the middle of it all we throw our 9th Annual Halloween Party ~ Caddyshack Style!  I was actually quite shocked at how great everything turned out.
It was such an easy theme (chosen by Justin) which seemed to make everything else super easy.  This year we held our party at my home venue, Superstition Springs Golf Club~ because...naturally it went so well with the theme!
Of course... the Costume Contest is always a big hit!
I really can't believe we've been able to keep this tradition going for so long!
So many of dear friends were able to attend
Even Elin and Tiger showed up!
Chef created an awesome meal, followed by a delicious dessert display.
And we danced the night away..........
I was so proud of the centerpieces I created all by myself!
Julie and her friend Colie came dressed as Zombies....which was random, but then again so is Julie~which is why I love her!
Noah broke out his famous "Footloose" Routine....always a crowd pleaser!
So many creative costumes!
Justin and I have been having an on-going Halloween Costume battle for years... but this year Justin picked out his own costume and I didn't even try to push... although I thought it would have been ADORBS if he too dressed up as a Gopher.
And this was the final-die hard party-crew that was still there when we shut the party down~ what a great night!  Thank you to everyone who came and all my awesome vendors who helped to make this night possible ~ DJ Andre, Still Life Studios, and Superstition Springs Golf Club!

This coming year will be our TENTH ANNUAL Halloween Party!

Addie's 30th Birthday

This past August my little Addie Flo Jo turned the Three-O......
We actually celebrated this milestone twice with her.  Once with her family down in CG (sadly no photos from that night) and again on her actual bday with friends (the photos you see here)
Addie invited us all to meet up at this really chic little restaurant called:
Canteen on Mill Ave.
It was a work night for most....so Addie and I had some time together.... just to two of us, before everyone showed up...which was when we solved the world's problem...as usual.

I love you girlfriend, Cheers to a great year ahead!!!

Fun Times at the Valley Ho

Melissa's 30th Birthday Celebration Continues... this time "Girls Only"
Melissa's sis in-law, Heather coordinated an overnight celebration at the retro glam Valley Ho.
The dj spinned poolside as we cooled down on that very hot August day.....
Then we hit the town, with dinner at Olive & Ivy in Scottsdale
Followed by after dinner drinks and desserts at Postinos...
And the night ended with a slumber party as we watched the movie "Bridesmaids"
Thank you Heather for planning such a fun night!
And, thank you for sharing these fab photos....
(it was so nice not to have to be the one(s) taking photos that night, muah!!)
And this marks off....# 19 on my 101s:
Spend the day at the pool with a girlfriend drinking cocktails
