"There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard... No song I could sing... But I can try for your heart...Our dreams, and they are made out of real things... Like a, shoebox of photographs... With sepiatone loving... Love is the answer, At least for most of the questions in my heart... Like why are we here? And where do we go? And how come it's so hard? It's not always easy and... Sometimes life can be deceiving... I'll tell you one thing its always better when we're together..."

Escape to the Bahamas!

We had such an amazing vacation! It was just so nice to escape working long hours, phone calls, emails, proposals, photo editing, home work... and just do nothing!!!!

Highlights of the Trip Included:

Staying at the all Inclusive Sandals Royal Bahamian

Kayaking... well, I'm not sure if this was one of Justin's highlights, considering he had to do all the work while I laid back and sun bathed.

Hanging out of the off shore island was awesome! This was at the Junkanoo Festival......

Having dinner dates every night..... and feasting on King Crab Legs~ my favorite

Swimming the Caribbean Sea daily... and sippin on "Hummingbirds" ( our signature drink on the trip... its was so refreshing)
More dinner dates.... this was our last night, Justin treated me to a private dinner on the beach!

Special creation from Chef....
More fun in the water... hydro biking....

Hanging out at the Pool Bar on the offshore island... it was so gorgeous... oh and so is my hubby!
More dinner dates... this was probably one the funnest nights... we caught a cab and ventured over to Paradise Island... where we partied at Atlantis , which was just unbelievable, truly like Vegas on an Island!

Ohh... another amazing day, we traveled to downtown Bahamas where we were really able to experience the local life. Riding the "bus" around was a crazy adventure, walking through the straw market, looking for the perfect conch shell, hanging out at Senior Frogs.. so fun!

Jet sking... this was Justin's favorite water sport. It was really cool, we were out in the ocean for over an hour, we actually traveled all the way around the off shore island... crazy fun!

There was lots to do at the resort; pools, piano bar, saxophone player by the fire pits, hot tubs, live entertainment....

I think this was my favorite highlight~ somehow I talked Justin into a "couples massage" (Justin's first massage ever!). This was on the Private Island, overlooking the Caribbean Seas... it was amazing ( and kind of funny at the same time)

Endless relaxing.........

Ahh... and this was the last photo taking just as we were leaving.... the trip was over... but I guess all good things must come to an end. Let's do it again soon....

Trevor's Visit

Justin's brother Trevor made a quick visit. He lives in Berkeley, California and recently graduated from his PhD program. We usually get to see him two to three times a year. This trip down Justin and Trevor hit up the local car show. The both love antique cars as their dad built many cars with the boys when they were little. Justin hopes to own a 1969 Black Chevelle one day.
We also had the opportunity to meet Trevor's girlfriend and have an amazing home cooked dinner with the Starr Family.

Hoopes 25th Wedding Anniversary at Seville

" The same words, the same hearts,
But wiser, somehow
The same vows, the same faith

But deeper, now

As we turn to each other

Again we are sure
Love doesn't wait, it gets better"

These were the words in their invitation, I just found them so moving. I think it's just wonderful to celebrate anniversaries especially the major milestones.

Lisa has worked at Seville as one of our main Wedding Captains and I was just thrilled when I heard she wanted to host her wedding anniversary party at Seville!

That now makes 4 of our main "Event Women" of Seville to host their most special days at Seville! That about honest advertising!

We had a blast with the Seville crew and felt very special to be included in Doug and Lisa's special day.

Highlights Included:

I really love the look of the room as a whole! Lisa had a gorgeous vision for this event. The room was filled with the colors of lime green, white, and black and white damask~great color combinations for a summer wedding, it felt very fresh and clean. The room was also filled with soft candlelight ~everywhere... just stunning!

I laugh when I look at the photo listed above of Renata and myself. We have been though so many ups and downs during the past five years at Seville. This photo was taken "behind the scenes at Seville ~ the banquet kitchen" where many interesting conversations have taken place, tears of been shed, several secrets have been shared, screaming contests have been held, and many friendships have grown. I love you Renata~ you make me laugh daily... and I can't imagine being at Seville without you!

I LOVED the mini photo gallery that Lisa had set out. It had photos from the wedding along with photos of their children, it was so amazing to see what 25 years of a marriage can add to your life~children, fun times, and endless memories.

Don't be fooled by how sweet this group of ladies looks above, we mean business! After all it takes strong women to deal with brides on a daily basis. Shown above is Me, Renata, Lisa, and Dianna ( we miss you at Seville D!)

I love this shot! However you don't see this very often unless of course an employee is hosting an event... look out shots all around. This was Erin's (bartender) last night at Seville, she moved the next day back east with her family... thank you for the fun Erin!

There's a reason they don't normally let Chef's behind the bar!

Dianna worked at Seville as the Banquet Manager for quite some time! Although I don't get to see her as much, I'm so happy we've kept in touch!

Ania and Juan Carlos tearing up the dance floor

I always have the perfect date! No matter the event Justin is always there having a great time and I love that he was able to capture some fun photos of this evening.

And this has to be my favorite photo of the evening! Lisa and Martin our the Banquet Captains at Seville and any time an employee has an event at Seville we always manage to get Marty on the dance floor~that's when you know the party is truly rockin!

Olive likes Ice cream!

So one random day a few weeks ago I decided to give Sammy and Olive a little treat: Doggie Ice Cream Cups! Sammy wasn't impressed to say the least however Olive went crazy over her ice cream! So much that I looked over a realized her entire little body was shaking because she was so cold, but still wouldn't break from eating it.

The next thing I know these two little weenies make a mad dash for the door, as they hear dads footsteps coming upstairs!!!
Just as soon as Sammy thinks Dad's attention is all on smooching Olive, she very quickly and methodically runs over a steals her little sisters cup of ice cream!!!! I'm quite certain that Sammy really didn't want the ice cream at all... she simply didn't want her sister to have it either.

And she doesn't look back: Mission Accomplished!!!! These three make me laugh on a daily basis! I just love em!!!
