Highlight on October...

  So I realized that if I ever plan on getting caught up on my blogging I'm going to need to try and condense October into one post... because it was SUCH a busy, crazy, fun month!!!  Wow, no wonder why I was so exhausted by the time November rolled around...

So here we go...highlights of this month included:

Mike & Heather's "Grown Up " Party:

The title of the party was actually called "Mike and Heather's Grown Up Party" which just cracks me up!  I imagine as a parent "Grown Up" parties are a lot more fun without the kids;)  Mike and Heather  just finished re-modeling their home in Scottsdale and it looks a-may-zing! Their look is very modern, industrial, minimalistic... and they did a fantastic job....I'm quite certain they could rent their out for private parties and make a pretty penny for sure! They invited all their "Grown Up" friends over for an evening of cocktails and catching up... so much fun! 

Julie's Housewarming Party:

I love Julie, though for whatever reason we rarely get to see each other....she's the whole package:  caring, smart, and her quirky humor could entertain me for hours~ and I'm lucky to call her a friend!  She recently purchased a darling home in Scottsdale and had a little house warming party one Sunday afternoon.  Although Justin wasn't able to attend ...my little brother Chase went with me to celebrate with Julie! Her home is just too cute, and she even has a few of these cool little owls that help to decorate her place!  Later that day I took my Stinkerbell up to Scottsdale Fashion Square and we had lunch at Z Tejas, caught the movie The Social Network, then finished off our day with a trip to Yogurt Land~fun times.   

Justin shot Three Weddings:

My husband amazes me... along with working his 50 hour rotation, handling all his homework and studies, he still managed to shoot three weddings for Still Life Studios and do an amazing job!  Here's a favorite shot from each wedding.

Visit with my Granny:

My Sweet Granny, I haven't been able to spend much time with her this past year...and I've missed her so much.  She's just such a cool person...at times she's more like a sister than a Grandmother...being that,....she'll tell me anything and sometimes shocks me (she's quite the story teller)... but loves with a heart as big as Tennessee.  I have some fun things in mind to do together this upcoming year ~

I just love her!

Lunch with Melissa & Little Man:

I love my lunches with Melissa!  We met up one Monday afternoon to have a lunch at Sweet Tomatoes.  I'm typically off on Mondays and Melissa usually works a half day~so it works out perfectly.  Melissa's friendship has always meant so much to me, but this year especially...her open heart, loving voice and caring spirit have really helped me through this year...she's an earth angel, no doubt about it.  She had promised Gregory he could see the duckies afterwards if he was a good boy at lunch;)

Rudy's Sleepover:

Julie needed an over night sitter for Mr.Rudy man...so a doggie sleep over was in order!  Sammy and Olive were so excited...but not nearly as excited as Justin was~he just loves Rudy! Julie has Rudy trained so well...he's such a good dog~I'm hoping Julie can train my little girls one day;)

Happy Birthday Heather:

Back to Heather's home for a second time in the month of October:) This time to celebrate her 31st birthday!  Heather is Melissa's sister in law and over the past year or so.... has become a new fun and fabulous friend of mine!  She's a super sexy mommy of three, and tons of fun! 

Beauty & The Beast:

I love Gammage!  So for an early birthday present, my parents bought us tickets to see Beauty & the Beast....such great music and a wonderful production~and it was great to double with mom & dad. 

Sham's Birthday:

Sham man....otherwise known as Shannon Starr...had a birthday to be celebrated so we treated him to dinner at Kona Grill, followed by an evening at the movies.

Justin Starts his 2nd Rotation:

My gorgeous husband started his 2nd rotation in October...working at Good Sam in downtown Phoenix.  So far it's been his most challenging rotation for several reasons....but he's now just that much closer to graduating.  I love him in scrubs!

Belated Birthday Dinner with Naseem:

Naseem had celebrated her big 30th birthday back in September by taking a "girls trip" to Mexico....I unfortunately couldn't make it...so we decided on a sushi date instead!  Happy Belated Birthday Naseem!

8th Annual Halloween Party:

This was the highlight for sure...so much so that I'll do a separate blog on our big bash!

Starr Dinner:

This photo makes me happy.... just because I know how happy it would make Barbara feel, knowing that her family was together.  Trevor and Isis had flown in for the big Halloween Party and to celebrate Shannon's birthday, so on their last night we had dinner out on the town.

Halloween CG Style:

And the last event of our very busy month was a trip down to CG on halloween.  Whenever we start feeling really overwhelmed and just need to veg out for awhile... we take the pups and head down to my mom and dads home, there we can just completely relax.  We never have any little tricker treaters in our condo complex,  so it was fun to be able to pass out candy at mom and dads
